Stila High Shine Lip Colour - Michaela | Review

I love Stila as a brand and I think the packaging always draws me in even the outer box attracted me to these lipsticks. I love the minimal look with the brown cardboard.

The lipstick packaging is a very sleek and sturdy silver metal tube with Stila wrote along the base.

The Best Part of the Packaging has to be the inside where it as a floral pattern going up the tube.

I was a little scared I wouldn't pull this off when I bought it as in the tube it looks a bright Orange red. but one applied it so subtle and more of a pinky coral.

The formula is so moisturising and gives a lipgloss finish without the stickiness. I think this is a perfect everyday shade especially for work. The only problem with a lipstick in the finish is you do have to reapply after eating and drinking but it feels so nice I don't find it a problem.

I am happy with the purchase and have bought another few shades in the same range.

The have found this lipstick on Amazon at the amazing price of £4.43

Maxfactor False Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara | Review

Last month I was getting my Maxfactor foundation and an eyeshadow and received a gift with purchase. Part of the Gift was the Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara in Black Brown. I always buy black normally in any mascara I buy so wasn't sure if I would like this.

The packaging isn't anything amazing but its ok just a plain black bullet like shape but its really fat so holds a lot of product.

The brush on this is amazing its plastic with lots of little spikes making your eyelashes clump free and evenly coated. The results I got from this was really good to say I didn't have much hope for this product. It made my lashes thicker and longer without giving the spider leg effect.

Both Photos are without the use of eyelash curlers.

The product removes ok with the Laura Mercier eye makeup remover but like most Waterproof  mascara it does take a little longer than the non waterproof version.

It is available online at Boots for 10.99 and at the moment its on their 3 for 2.

Victoria Secrets Love Spell Cherry Blossom and Peach Fragrance Mist | Review

Summer is finally here and I love to wear a flowery scent this time of year. Victoria Secrets Love Spell Cherry Blossom and Peach Fragrance Mist is just that. It is very strong so can be a little over powering at first but with it been a fragrance Mist it doesn't take long for it to settle and leaves a beautiful subtle floral trail where ever you go.

Here is what Victoria secret have to say -

A flirty, floral fragrance. Hypnotize in Love Spell, a vibrant, irresistible blend of lush cherry blossom and juicy peach. Experience the luxury of fragrance. Refreshing formula is infused with conditioning aloe vera and calming chamomile. Spray on for a sexy touch of scent.

This is the scent I have been reaching for the days I have not been wearing perfume for around the house or when Im nipping to the shops. It really does put me in a happier mood.

I love the packaging on this too the see through bottle is brilliant for knowing when you are running out so you can run out and repurchase something I'm definitely going to do.

Has anyone tried the other scents in this collection? Let me know your favorites.

Maylash | The Results

So 2 months ago I posted about a Eyelash Serum called Maylash* and I am ready to reveal the results.

I didnt really have short eyelashes before but I was always looking for thickening and lengthening Mascaras to get that false lash effect.

I do have to say I have had a few people ask me if I have been wearing false lashes lately when I have been wearing a good mascara so I'm sure there is a difference in before and after.

Maylash say the eyelashes will become darker and I have to agree that they have, making my eyelashes look more visible on no makeup days. I would also like to say that in the first 4 weeks I could tell they were lenthening as I had the spider leg effect when applying my mascara. I was worried that they wouldnt get thicker and the spider effect which I dont really like would just get worse or stay but the final 4 weeks saw the thickening start to happen.

I am happy with the difference it has made on my eyelashes and now I can use more subtle mascaras rather than the They're Real mascara which I love but it is a bugger to remove.

So here are the before and afters -

(Before with a little mascara)

(after without mascara)

(after with my day mascara)

I think this is perfect for before you go abroad as noone likes panda eyes in the pool but we still like to look glam a little bit of clear mascara over your darkened eyelashes and your done.

Have you tried any eyelash serums before?

Totties Garden Center - Olive Tree Bistro Cafe | Lifestyle Post

I just wanted to share with you my favourite place to spend my weekends relaxing and eating. I would firstly like to say this is not a sponsored post and they have no idea I am even a blogger.

Totties Garden Center is situated in West Yorkshire in the heart of Last Summer Wine Country, a stone throw away from the picturesque village of Holmfirth.

The Olive Tree Bistro Cafe has served me some of the best meals I have ever consumed and I find myself going back on nearly a weekly basis and I am still amazed with the quality and service every time I visit.

The View is also Amazing with countryside as far as the eye can see. I can spend hours reading and sipping their delicious Lattes or Hot Chocolates.

Here is a few of the meals I have devoured over the past year. I can honestly say I have never had one I didnt like.

WARNING - YOU MAY BECOME VERY HUNGRY!!!!

(Starters)

 (Gorgeous Mains)

All Ingredients are fresh and everything is homemade even down to the relishes and sauces.

Prices are very resonable too and they offer a daily special board and on Saturday they do up to a three course meal at set prices with 3 or 4 choices for each (main menu still available).

They also cater for dietary needs even down to doing a gluten free batter on their fish and chips if it is required.

Hope you get to visit this place at least once in your lifetime as it really is a little gem.

MACs Royal Sunset Powder Blush | Review

MACs Royal Sunset was my first Mac coral tone blush. It is from the 'All about orange' collection but I found it in a trip to the York designer outlet picking it up an amazing price of £12.75.

MAC listed this as a soft peach but to me it is definitely more of a pink toned blush. A perfect flush colour if applied lightly or can be built up for a more intense look.

It is a satin blush so has a semi matte finish with good colour payoff / pigmentation. The product texture is not too chalky and blends easily to creates a beautiful natural finish. Wear time is brilliant and lasts me all day without having to reapply.

I think I will get a lot of use out of this in summer and its one of my favourite blushers that I currently own.

I also love this with a bit of MACs soft and gentle on the top to give it a subtle highlight.

L'oreal Paris L'Extraordinaire by Colour Riche Ruby Opera | Review

I am a big lover of Lipstick, and by that I mean I can carry around 10 in my handbag at one time don't know why but I feel I need to carry one in ever shade as you never know when I'll need a change.

I have been trying to get into Lip glosses and liquid stains more lately but finding it hard due to to hating the sticky feeling. On the off chance a few months ago I picked up 3 of the L'oreal Paris L'Extraordinaire by Colour Riche in the Boots 3 for 2 and I have to say I'm quite enjoying using them.

L'oreal describe this product as

COLOUR INTENSITY OF A LIPSTICK. MAGNIFYING SHINE OF A GLOSS. SOFTNESS OF A BALM.

The packaging on these remind me of YSL gold and luxurious. I love how the colour is shown on the side and the bottom of the container making the shades visible in storage which is a big bonus I think.

The shade I'm going to review and swatch for you today is Ruby Opera, a luxurious blue toned red. This pigmentation is amazing and the blue undertone is perfect to make your teeth look whiter.

The texture of this is creamy with out been sticky and is very opaque. The application is made quick and simple by the fluffy wand applicator which flexes for a more precise finish.

This lasts for quite a few hours and fades to a tinted pink lip. I find it perfect over my MAC Russian Red for Evening wear.

I am so glad I decided to test this out and it will carry on being the lip product I will grab for glamorous girly nights on the town.

You can buy the product here for £8.99 and I think the 3 for 2 is back on at the moment so treat yourself.

MAC Asian Flower Sheen Supreme Lipstick | Review

I love a good MAC lipstick and always seem to go for the MAC Bullets. But on my Birthday last month I went on a little trip to York Designer Outlet and had a right old browse at all the makeup. I think I swatched every lipstick they had and I finally settled on Asian Flower a Sheen Supreme Lipstick (and a few other cheeky purchases).

I love the Sleek packaging on this, slimmer and longer than the bullets and with a glossy finish.

What MAC have to say about their product -
'Combining the color impact of a lipstick with the shine of a Lipglass, Sheen Supreme creates the perfect hybrid with no compromise. Lightweight, non-sticky, slick to apply and comfortable to wear. This is a must-have for all those who have craved this kind of fusion.'

I have to say I agree with the statement. The Lipstick is much more moisturising than the other MAC  lipsticks I own. Because of this it doesn't have have as much wear but I still get a good 3 or 4 hours from it before reapplying. It fades really well too not giving the Lipliner effect some bright coloured lipstick do.

The Shade itself is a Fuchsia Purple with a lovely hint of silver shimmer but not too shimmery on the lips. It gives a fully opaque coverage which can be layered for a more brighter pop of colour.

I think I will be getting a lot of wear out of this lipstick this Spring/ Summer on days wear I want a vibrant lip but a little less bright than candy yum yum.

What are you summer lipstick choices??
