Lose a Stone in a Week

Wednesday, November 18, 2015

So I asked on twitter if you wanted to see how I lost a dress size in a week and I got quite a few people saying yes so here you go.

I just want to say how nervous I am posting these pictures but were all friends here and thought with the holiday season coming up and people are wanting to lose that last stone before they go away I wanted to give proof that this diet does work if you stick to it 100%.

Recently my size 10s have become really tight and the size 12 have been making an everyday appearance yes I know some people may think well size 12s arent that big but I am 5ft and size 12 makes me look very Dumpy and I am a very curvy girl I have a small waist but big hips and a very sticky out bum. I wanted to look and feel more confident on my weekend away next week.

The diet I did was one I found on James Duncans website. The diet is a Crash diet that doctors give patients when they need to lose a stone before operations.

Now I am not saying this diet is healthy and I am not telling anyone to do it as I cant say it will work for you or want to put your health at risk in anyway. You know your own bodies and if you want to try it here it is -

Grilled or tinned tomatoes
2 poached eggs

Their Rules

  1. No alcoholic drinks.
  2. Permitted drinks: Black coffee, tea, lemon/grapefruit juice without sugar.
  3. No milk, butter or fats.
  4. NO EATING BETWEEN MEALS
  5. Abstain from all not included in diet. Eat what is shown or go without.
  6. ONLY DIET FOR ONE WEEK IN THREE - TWO WEEKS OFF
  7. No substitutes allowed. The basis of the diet is chemical, not the quantities.
  8. Lunch and dinner may be swapped but only on the same day.
  9. GUARANTEED TO LOSE ONE STONE IN ONE WEEK.
Now the meals may look a little boring but I really enjoyed doing this and have to say was a little upset about eating normal again as the result I got were amazing. Because it is a chemical diet you have to follow it one hundred percent and make no substitutes.

Here are some of the meals I made

 (egg salad)

 (lamb chop salad)

(steak salad)

Now I know the weight may not stay off but if you eat a healthy diet after I cant see why not I have read lots of reviews that people have managed to keep it off after and I am going to do it for another week next month.

So here are the results

I did the diet for 6 days as the 7th day I had a bloggers Afternoon Tea planned and thought it would be rude not to eat or cancel at the last minute.

I lost a total of 10lbs and am back in my size 10s

Here are the cringey before and afters

As you can see on the bottom ones Im not as lumpy and seem to curve round rather than the sausage effect I am really happy with the out come of this diet and think its definitely worth sacrificing a week of normal eating to get results. Also my stomach went so flat and never suffered from bloating which I get alot from having IBS.

I felt amazing on this diet. Im not going to lie the few 2 days were hard and I had headache and was starving and hated everyone on the train with their fast food (even though Im not a fan of Maccy Ds).

Hope this was an interesting read

    2. If you dedicate yourself over the next 21-days and follow The 3 Week Diet as outlined, you will be walking around with 12 to 23 pounds of body fat gone from your waist, hips, thighs, belly and butt. Your clothes will be looser, you’ll look healthier and more attractive…and you’ll have more energy than you’ve ever had in a long, long time.

  4. Waw! The results are amazing! I'm definitely trying this out!
Could you just eat cucumber and tomatoes for example as the 'salad' part in the list? Just to know that I would be doing it correct :) because I don't really like leafy greens, but I do really like tomatoes and cucumber and other vegetables ^^
And did you notice a difference in your legs? I want my legs to be a bit slimmer, so if that helped for your legs too, that would be great! ^^

Bit worried.. I'm not drinking much water, could that be it? Did you drink 8 glasses? Thankyou so much!! T.c xx

    1. I tried to drink the full amount of water but sometimes didnt have the full 8 glasses. I think as long as you eat just the 3 times a day and have the grapefruits you should be fine xx

  22. Sorry for more questions but you're my inspiration and reference... Did the weight fall pound by pound or did it just plummet towards the end down to your amazing 10lbs drop? Also which fruits did you eat? I'm stuffing myself with all kinds of berries, apricots, melon, water melon, 1 date, maybe a banana and unsweetened pure apple/mango juice; am I doing this all wrong? :( pls help, Thankyou soooo much once again!! Love, Saffy xxx

    1. I was having melon, Apples, grapes, plums and a banana. I didnt really have fruit juice. The weight was dropping by a pound a day for the 1st few days then went to 2 pounds.
      Keep at it xx

  23. Hi - I'm starting this too, with some minor modifications! We seem to be very similar physically - I'm 5ft also with a small waist and curvy bum & thighs. At this height every few pounds makes a difference! My usual size tens have been feeling a little too snug for comfort since my two week sun holiday! I started today - had a little more fruit than the plan prescribed but its' still much better than I usually would eat! I also went grocery shopping and spent a bomb on fruit and salads LOL! PS thanks for sharing the pics - very motivating!

  24. Hello
I'm currently on day 1 of this fabulous diet and I would just like to thank you in advance for sharing it with us. I've been wanting to lose weight for ages and have tried all sorts and I am very much hoping this does the trick.

I just have a few questions please...
1 - how much exercise did you do each day and what did you do?
2 - if i were to have tea, could I put milk in it? (I have a feeling the answer is no :( )
3 - for the grapefruit does it matter if it's white, red or pink? Also can I put stivia (sweetner) on it?

Thank you so much for publishing, you've really motivated me to shift some weight.

    Tea x

    1. I just did a little exercise walking, squats and an exercise video one day. No dairy is allowed on this diet. I didnt use sweetner as I used the pink ones so they are not too sour. You can have any type of Grapefruit and I have know people use sweetner and said it didnt make a difference to their results but I didn't so wouldnt like to comment

Goodluck hun and hope day 2 is going well x

  25. Thanks for sharing the Diet! Just done day one of the Diet ... Feeling okay but i haven't felt a change in weight loss yet perhaps over night there could be some difference .... Is doing exercise necessary when doing the diet ? Any tips on what to do, for hunger ?

    1. I drank lots of water and it seemed to help after day 3 you don't really get that hungry anyway

  26. Did you find the weight stayed off after you went back to normal eating?

    1. At the moment I am pregnant so cant really answer it truthfully but it did stay off for a while and I think as long as you keep relatively healthy I cant see why not

  27. Hiya, thought I'd add my experience. I have done this diet several times since September. I was given it by a friend. I have lost over 2 stone and loads if friends are doing it too. The modifications we have tried are: switching lamb chops to Linda McCartney veggie sausages, I was told not to eat bananas, tempted to add them in after reading this. I struggle with the last day and often don't do it. A friend has done week days only and weekends off which worked well with her lifestyle.

  29. I am on day 4 and i've stuck to all the food choices, BUT - I have been having milk and sweetener in my coffee. It's the one thing I just couldn't live without! Has anyone else done this and still lost the weight?!

  30. I'm at the end of day 5 and just found this page on it, wow what a fab result you got!! Iv so far list 11lb and I still have 2 days left!! Iv not substituted anything apart from I'm wheat free so had wheat free bread! Although I get hunger pains I feel slightly sick with it, weak and lack energy, but dare not eat anything extra! I made fresh lemon water for the fridge brought bottles of mini waters to pick up and walk straight out the kitchen and my poor child has been living on little dishes meals as I can pop in micro wave and walk out the room! I ate 1 banana today and felt so full up I couldn't eat anymore fruit! Weird! I'm scared about what I'm going to eat on day 8!! How do I keep the weight off?

  32. Found this diet on James Duncan's site aswell and found your link in the comments! We have a vey similar body shape except im 5'8 and its my 12s I was nearly bursting out off lol! Im on day 4, probably the blandest day as far as food goes so have struggled but kept to it! Finding your blog and seeing your pics has made me think it's worth it! So far iv lost 6 pounds but I should think there will be more loss by the morning as i weighed myself this evening after drinking water all day and water weighs a lot. Unfortunately it's that time of the month so my belly is still looking a little bloated but I'm sure that will go down, my waist definitely feels slimmer and my saddle bags have lost there bulginess, can't wait to get to day 7 and see the final result. It's changed the way I think about good already and im very sure after this week il naturally want to eat cleaner anyway! Looking forward to a nice yoghurt and cup of tea on day 8 though lol! And I will start back up after a 2 week break! Well done on your weight loss and thanks for sharing your results! X
