Filthy Gorgeous Nail PolishMonday, October 07, 2013
I had never heard of this brand until I got this polish as a gift so I was excited about trying it out.
The bottle is really cute it is a lovely round bottle with a pretty lace print on the lid. It also comes with a little key chain attached around the bottle neck. Unfortunately having the chain on made it difficult to put the lid back on after application, with wet nails it was a little fiddly trying to move it to one side to tighten it up so I took it off.
I really liked the colour 'fiji' really bright blue/green fab for the summer months but I thought I would try and get one more use out of it before I have to replace my brights for darks.
Application is really simple, the brush is thin compared to the wide brush applicators I generally prefer but I find that the consistency of the polish really makes it easy to apply.
One coat gives a great coverage but I like two just to make sure I get a lovely coverage.
The polish also drys pretty quickly which is a great bonus, plus is one of the longest lasting chip resistant brands I have used.
I googled the brand to see what else they had and turns out they have a great selection of polishes among other things.
Turns out they cost £9 which is middle of the range I guess compared to the £2.99 Barry M and the £18 YSL polishes I like.
One huge negative that I have to mention is that this happened!!!!
No idea why all of a sudden the print on the lid started to rub off onto my fingers!! which was very annoying and very messy. Luckily the polish dries pretty fast so I didn't have to wait too long to wash my hands.
I have to say that I have used this quite a few times and haven't noticed this happening before , no idea what has changed. This is the kind of problem you would expect from much cheaper brands.
All in all I think that I would give this brand another go, the colour is great, it goes on well and dries pretty quickly plus there seems to be lots to choose from on the website in terms of colours including magnetic styles and textured paints along with other products.
If you fancy having this brand a go you can check it out Here just be careful with the print on the lid.
Anyone else tried this brand?
