Estee Lauder, Maximum coverage, Camouflage Makeup for face and body

Saturday, October 05, 2013

I will warn you now that this foundation is not for the faint hearted, this is a maximum coverage life saver!. If you don't like full coverage foundations then this one certainly isn't for you, although that being said it is great for those dreaded bright red spots, scaring and even to hide tattoos so bare it in mind for a rescue product to keep to hand.

I discovered this foundation when i was in my teens as i suffered with terrible acne and obvious associated scaring which i was extremely paranoid about. Having this foundation in my life was a massive confidence booster for me i never felt as good as when i first started using this.

The first time i tried this foundation i was extremely aware of how thick it is, although it is still very much a liquid and goes on quite well it is still very thick compared to most foundations. I admit i got a little carried away at first and went through a stage of piling it all over my face and wearing it like a mask but it didn't take me long to realise i was doing it all wrong.

A little goes a hell of a long way, the first tube i got was tiny, i don'y know exactly what the size of it was but i had it for aaaagggeeess seriously smashing the makeup 'shelf life rule' . i have obviously forgotten how much of a benefit i got from this foundation and have taken it for granted for many years keeping it stashed in my dresser draw for emergencies, we have been writing this blog since June and i can't believe i haven't dedicated a full post to it yet. I didn't even mention it until i ran out recently and began to panic... big style!!!

Anyway, I guess i kinda use it as most people would a concealer, on any spots or light pigmentation i have, I then use a separate foundation in addition, mainly for the colour as the one problem with this foundation is that the shades available are a little odd. I get a shade that is slightly too light for me because the next shade darker is very orange and dark!! weird i know, but this lighter shade still does the trick.

This is a must have if you have acne or scaring it was great on the red pigmentation i got after the chemical peel i had and  i would definitely recommend it if you wan't guaranteed full coverage because this stuff DOES WORK!!!

Extra bonus. yes it is thick and heavy but is has never caused me to breakout and it has SPF 15!!

Other that the lack of shade choices the main negative is that is transfers quite easily but if you want flawless skin this is a small price to pay.
