Liz Earle Skincare

Friday, June 14, 2013

Now when it comes to beauty products I’m a sucker for a high end brand, I like the pretty bottles and fancy counters. Although I have yet managed to find one particular skincare line that I would re-buy, I tend to just swap from one to another when they run out which to be honest I don’t mind as I quite enjoy hunting down the next promise of ultra moisturising, breakout defeating and age defying miracle in a bottle. So when I was given a Liz Earle set for Christmas one year, it stayed packed up in the bottom of my dresser draw for some months, I hadn't really heard of the brand before and I wasn't blown away by the packaging, it didn't scream ‘TRY ME NOW!!’

Then one day I was out with my fiances mum who is in her 60’s and his two sisters in their 40’s and just happened to notice how lovely their skin is, clear, smooth and hardly a wrinkle between them. Now it could just been good genes but the other thing they all had in common is that they have all been religious users of Liz Earle products for a good few years.

Needless to sayI was soon digging the set out from my dresser draw!!

I have been using the starter set additions of  ‘Cleanse and Polish’ Hot cloth cleanser,’ Instant Boost ‘skin tonic, floral toner and the light ‘Skin Repair Moisturiser’ for a short while now and I am really please with it. I would definitely recommending using the muslin cloths for the’ Cleanse and Polish’ cleanser as you feel so cleaner afterwards, the toner smells lovely and the moisturiser is perfect for my oily skin type as it isn't too thick.

(the image shows dry sensitive moisturiser as I must have thrown my light tube away when i used the last bit recently)

Usually I have trouble finding products that don’t bring me out in spots but this one is fab they are all alcohol free and made from naturally active ingredients.  The skin repair moisturiser is also the only moisturise I have been able to use after a chemical peel (which I have now and again) as it is so gentle and doesn't contain any harsh chemicals.

I have recently noticed Liz Earle products in Boots, so now the brand is even more accessible I will certainly be buying the full sized version as well as trying other products in the range, they even do make up too!
Not to mention the Cleanse and Polish, Hot cloth Cleaner  won ‘Best Classis Beauty Product (Presitge) and the 2013 Beauty Awards!!

You can get this here
Keep your eyes peeled for the offers too :)

Costs
Cleanse and polish, Hot cloth cleanser 100ml pump for £13.25
Instant boost skin tonic 200ml for £13.25

Anyone else a fan of Liz Earle?

  6. Hi Lisa! Thanks for the comment you left on my blog. I love to hear from my readers, especially the ones from my ancestral country (I'm just assuming you're from England). I would really love to visit there one day. Don't worry about followers. They will come. :D I love this post! I, unfortunately, am someone who tries to save money anywhere I can, so I usually end up looking for cheaper products and reading reviews on them to see if they actually work. I have finally found a cleanser and moisturizer that do not break my face out or irritate my dermatitis. I'm using Cetafil and I love it! Your review on these products, however, have peeked my interest and I might just try them out.
